“Reading sets the highest possible standards” (Neil Gresham)

Neil Gresham RCC Feedback Dec 2010“Thanks to Tom, John and everyone behind the scenes who make the Reading Climbing Centre such an exciting and enjoyable place to climb. As a professional climber and coach, I spend much of my time touring the UK’s best climbing walls, and I can vouch that Reading sets the highest possible standards. The walls have been superbly designed so that there is something for everyone to climb. The lay-out is particularly user-friendly and accommodating for those who are new to the sport, yet at the same time there is plenty to challenge those operating at a high level. The routes and boulder problems have been set to emphasize the broadest possible range of climbing styles, from technical slabs to acrobatic overhangs, and all the holds are bright, clean and easy to see. In addition, the high standard of the other facilities help to make a visit to the Reading wall a very pleasant experience. The changing facilities are immaculate and the ‘Picnic’ cafe serves knock-out cappuccinos and a mouth-watering range of home-made cakes and snacks. Above all else, the thing that makes the Reading centre stand out is the friendliness of the staff – a warm welcome is guaranteed. I am really looking forward to using the centre as a base for my climbing and coaching in the future.”

Neil Gresham

A big thank you to Neil for his very positive feedback on the centre and the facilities, we look forward to seeing him down the centre on regular basis.
